Travel Vaccines & Health Advice
Patients travelling abroad should contact the Practice at least 3 months prior to their planned trip.
We advise patients not to leave it until the week before you go, as many vaccines need to be given a few weeks before travelling to ensure their full effectiveness.
Patients should complete the Travel Risk Assessment form and return it to the Practice and arrange an appointment with the Practice Nurse.
Some vaccines are available free on the NHS, however there are a number of vaccines that are not available free on the NHS but can be prescribed on a private prescription by the Practice. Patients will be charged for the issuing of a private prescription and also for the administration of any non NHS vaccine.
To help us offer you the appropriate advice, please complete the travel risk form before visiting the practice.
